The influence of biological particles on clouds

Biological particles, such as pollen and bacteria, promote ice formation in clouds, influencing precipitation and extreme weather events. An EPFL study conducted in Greece shows that their concentration varies with temperature, peaking at midday. These data suggest incorporating these particles into climate models.
