New developments in cell transplantation

Cells encapsulated in a hydrogel is a method developed at the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne to enable cell transplantation while limiting rejection by the immune system. This is an interesting advance, particularly for people suffering from type 1 diabetes.
