Following translation routes

According to the writer Jorge Luis Borges, "the original is always unfaithful to the translation"! This aphorism is at the heart of the new exhibition at the Fondation Bodmer in Geneva, "Les routes de la traduction. Babel in Geneva". Is the diversity of languages an opportunity or, on the contrary, is it this curse launched by God to punish men for their vanity?
