WHO warns of the rapid spread of antibiotic-resistant bacteria
Légende
One in six bacterial infections is now resistant to antibiotics, according to the latest alarming report from the WHO. This finding is based on data from the GLASS network , an international system that collects and analyzes bacterial resistance in over 100 countries. GLASS tracks 22 antibiotics against 8 major bacteria. If nothing is done, up to 40 million deaths a year could occur by 2050.
