Washington sanctions Russian oil giants, Trump-Putin meeting cancelled

The US Treasury Department has announced sanctions targeting Russian oil groups Rosneft and Lukoil, as a consequence of Russia's "lack of serious willingness to engage in a peace process" in Ukraine. The planned meeting between Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin in Budapest, meanwhile, is no longer on the agenda.
