Quantity of DNA stored at the CHUV

In an attempt to find answers to certain diseases, the CHUV stores DNA from over 40,000 volunteers. These samples, taken with patient consent, are stored in huge refrigerators at minus 80 degrees. This genetic data, coupled with clinical records, is then made available to researchers and enables the development of new therapies or preventive measures.
