Chernobyl to Switzerland - Learning from the disaster

The radioactive cloud formed by the fire at Chernobyl reactor number 4 has traveled thousands of kilometers through the earth's atmosphere. The Chernobyl disaster took place in the Ukraine and the Soviet Union, but much further afield, its imprint can still be seen today, after a worldwide wind of panic blew as far away as Switzerland.
