Relations with the United States have become brutally strained following the difficult negotiations around tariffs. But beyond lʹéconomics and politics, beyond the divisive figure of President Trump, there reigns like a whiff of divorce with a country that has fed our collective imagination thanks to a mythology widely exported in films, series, music, sporting events or technological inventions. The "American dream" has always aroused fascination or rejection. But is the current disenchantment sustainable? How do we view the USA from Switzerland? Is it up to Switzerland to re-enchant its relationship with the USA and sʹadapt?
