Ahead of COP30, an update on the effects of global warming on global health

One week ahead of COP30 in Belém, the medical journal The Lancet publishes its new report on the links between health and climate. The figures are striking: every year, around 550,000 deaths are attributed to rising temperatures, while pollution from fossil fuels is responsible for 2.5 million deaths.
